K9 Veterans Day

Thanks to our team member, Robert Reeg, a retired New York City Firefighter, who volunteers with his therapy dog, Hunter, we were invited to participate in K9 Veterans Day, a celebration of working dogs – military, police, other search and rescue, service and therapy dogs. The event took place on March 13, 2015, in Mahwah, New Jersey.

It was an honor to have our therapy dogs included in this event. NJ has officially honored K9 Veterans Day since 2011. March 13th will now be NJ Veteran’s Day for K9’s. Congress will hopefully be approving a K9 Veteran’s Day nationally.
