A Pawsitive Difference
Hunter made a pawsitive difference!
One of our therapy teams, Robert Reeg and his standard poodle, Hunter, have been visiting the Greystone Programs, Inc, Sugar Loaf Center, in Sugar Loaf, New York. The Greystone Programs “provide exceptional services and life enriching opportunities for children, adults and families living with Autism and other developmental disAbilities.”
Robert and Hunter visited earlier this week and returned with the following exciting news for our group!
“Hunter and I were up at the Greystone program in Sugarloaf yesterday. The boy that I had previously mentioned has continued his progress. He was wearing a T-shirt with the cartoon character Goofy on it. So I pointed to the shirt and said “I like your Goofy shirt”, he then spoke “Goofy” out loud. He went on to repeat with me the names of all of the cartoon characters that I could remember. I’ve been told by many of the staff that they never heard this kid talk before. It sure looks like Hunter’s made some kind of breakthrough with him!”
That is EXCELLENT!! So awesome when you know you’ve made a positive, or should I say pawsitive, difference in the lives of others!!!
Good job, Robert and Hunter!!! Hunter enjoyed a little doggie hydrotherapy afterwards. We think Hunter deserves a huge steak bone!!
