My name is Lady Miss Starla Van Buren, but feel free to call me Starla. I am named after Angelica Van Buren, our former first lady. I love to meet new friends: old and young. Sometimes I am afraid of other dogs because I am a very tiny 5 lb. Maltese, so I love to be carried. I am a natural born therapy dog and often elicit very strong reactions in people. Sometimes adults actually jump for joy when they meet me or take my picture. Other times they share their stories and, even men, cry. I love to be there for them in any way they need and I love to give kisses.
